Mt Charleston Resort

Last month my cousin Brandon got married to Miss Amanda at the Mt. Charleston Resort (a mountain just outside of Las Vegas <I know who'd have thought that existed out there, right?!?>) We had stayed with Brandon's family the summer that Jake did his internship in Vegas and Jake stayed with them again when he was studying for the Nevada bar exam, so since we were so close with them we put the kids in the car and made the trip down to Vegas We've realized that the trip to Vegas is a big deal now that we have two little ones, one of whom was still nursing. Even though the road trip was not the funnest, it was so fun to see all the family and take part in Brandon and Amanda's special day.

How the little boys entertained themselves through the ceremony (Jaxon had an iPod game going on...I guess I can't complain because it kept them happy and quiet)

Carder was super grumpy before the wedding (he so badly needed a nap) we had to do quite the act to get him in his clothes to make it on time to the ceremony, but he REFUSED to wear a tie, jaket or tuck in his shirt. Jake and I were exhausted with him...hence his unkept appearance.

My Aunt Jill was having someone take her and her son Zac's picture with her phone. She went back to review it and noticed Carder in the background. I guess he had hopped in the back and photobombed them. Only Carder would know how to do that at 3 years old. That kid cracks me up.

This was the only family picture we got taken at the wedding, and its absolutely heinous (Carder's eyes are closed, Brenn isn't even looking, and I am pretty sure Jake is in the middle of saying something). Just shows my luck with family photos at this stage of my life.

We took the kids to the room to play for a while in between the ceremony/reception. Brenn quite enjoyed little miss Ellie Belly.

Ellie was so funny to watch. She was cutting a rug on the dance floor with her trusty sidekick Baby Bop.

Carder, Jake, and Brandon (Jaxon caught the garter, but when the MC told him he had to dance for everybody he threw it to Carder. Carder got out there and busted his world class moves (watch out Bieber). That child lives for applause.

The day after the wedding was Mother's Day (as well as my 26th B-day), so the family attended a Mother's Day brunch together.

 We were in our room quite a bit with our little ones (so they could wiggle around etc.), I of course got my camera out to try and capture the cute little munchkins...so here is a little eye candy for ya...

Brenn and Ellie just loved each other to pieces (well except for when Brenn tried to go for Ellie's Baby Bop...). The last time we had seen Brittany and Ellie was at Christmas, and Brenn was more like a baby doll to Ellie then (she just wanted to kiss her and pat her back). Now that Brenn had gotten more mobile/interactive it was so fun to see them play together.
