Beach Babies

The kids loved our beach day so much that we decided to go again before we headed back to Utah (not to mention that the temperature jumped up almost ten degrees, so it was like enjoying the beach on a nice summer day minus the crowds!)

This time we headed down to La Jolla Shores. Since we were in the area we first hit up one of our favorite fish taco joints, Fins.

The kids inherited our love for Fins...the boys literally inhaled their lunch.

Brenn played with Mimi's keys and enjoyed checking out the aquarium of fish right next to our table

Once finished with lunch we headed over to the beach.  The tide had traveled out, so it left a lot of smooth, firm sand which the boys loved using their shovels to draw on...

Brenn also joined in the fun.

Brenn's pretty beach pedi...she is so proud when she gets her toes painted.  She sits so still for me to paint them and then she loves to show them off once they are painted.

which also consisted of trying to eat it.

Keslie doing what she does best...falls asleep anywhere and soaking up some nice sunshine to keep her bronze goddess glow intact.

Gotta love those chunky thighs!

Next the boys moved onto another one of their favorite beach activities--running in the surf...

  

 

Jake took Brenn out to enjoy the fun...

She loved splashing in the water with Dad!

And of course when Carder saw what a good time was being had by Dad and Brenn, he made it a family affair...

After they got all their running and jumping out of their systems they moved onto one of their other favorite activities--digging a hole in the sand. This is one of my favorite things they do. I mean, how much easier could they make it to watch them dig a self-contained space, after which they just sit in there and play--no chasing them around, and are as happy as can be...Bliss I tell you!

Brenn had to get right up in the action...she thought she was SO big helping those boys out.

Carder was being a little bit naughty putting mud on his sister when she was in the hole.  She didn't seem to mind one bit, but rather she returned the favor to him.

My babies sure do love the beach!
