With my Mom's visit coming close to an end, we made the most of a surprisingly warm Veterans Day and headed out to Cape Cod.
It never ceases to blow my mind how different East Coast beaches are from California beaches. By the time we got out there (it took a bit longer than we thought, but that is kind of how it goes around here), so we had missed the really nice warm afternoon weather. That didn't stop the boys from going out and playing in the water anyway.
There was this really cool sand bar just out a bit from the main shore. The boys and Ellie thought it was so cool to run out there and be on their own island.
Carder loved running in the surf while Brenn loved running along the shore collecting sea shells as well as digging in the sand.
On our way home we noticed that we would be passing right by the exit to Plymouth. Since we didn't know the next time that we'd make it out this way we took the detour. (excuse the kids looking like rag muffins, they were stripped down from the wet suits to some dry sweats after the beach).
It was pretty dark when we made our little Plymouth pit stop so everything was closed down and some stuff was a little bit hard to see. It looked like a super cool town though, so at some point we need to make a little day trip and really check it out.
